Gosh...today i nearly blanked out during POJ exam. R made me feel so pressurized with his serious, hardcore, studious and kiasu attitude i hope i'll never have him as my tutorial mate or study mate for that matter in the future.
When I looked at the first question, my mind was just full of the ultimate thought: How to scrape enough marks from different sections to pass this exam? The question was what is the news value for this (statement). I'll be rewarded one mark if i answer correctly. I stare at the two words -- news value. Huh...wat is that...y so hard wan....
After like zoning out for 30 secs, which is a REALLY precious 30secs for a 45 mins test, i finally got the Easiness of what News value are. This is so dangerous, i have to learn to relax when facing a tough test.
After that, it was FULL house hunting time. Melvin turned out to be SOOOO unexpectedly grand as a friend, driving us up and down, east and west, north and south to help us in our quest for a house. His reaction to our first targeted house was priceless.
In the car, preparing to depart from uni.
M: "So, where is this house?"
C: "It's in xxx street"
M: "Hmm..sounds familiar. Hmm..xxx street. HUH isnt that where i live??"
So it was, and he said that he cant believe that he drove all theway from home to uni to go back to his home again ahaha!
Nick's room was gorgeous in its own way. It is the *longest* house i've ever seen. Long, horizontal, 8 rooms and horrors, One toilet?! OKay...the toilet isnt dirty or what, and they have the *longest* pantry i've ever seen as well. PLus one big living room with antique. But, it lacked the home feel. M's house, on the other hand, is So homely it's unbelievable!!
ANd, i found out from his weighing scale that i am 49 kg. I immediately went psycho and jumped up and down in his house, as if that will help me lose weight.
It was a really strenous day, not only physically but mentally. WHo said I can fully relax after exams? House hunting is definitely like 5 assignments pile up together but more challenging, and certainly, no dead memorization.
Pray, hope, wish that we can find a GREAT house.
And i found out that the 49 kg was a faux because the weighing scale was put on a carpet instead of the tiled floor, which can make a huge difference...hohoho!
